Penn Field

Austin, TX

Penn Field was converted from a historic de-commissioned World War I Army Air Base into a multi-use complex that has helped revitalize the commercial heart of South Congress. The original building was built in 1918 and the process of renovation required extensive demolition work as well as implementation of multiple construction types including wood frame, load bearing masonry, and pre-engineered metal structures. Hinckley Construction played a pivotal role in the initial construction and renovation of the campus.

Antenora Architects, llp was the lead architecture firm for the project and hired Hinckley Construction for the companies reputation for demolition and renovation work. This business relationship has resulted with multiple construction projects including Zen Restaurant as well as the expansion and renovation of the Antenora Architects office.
